Underwriting & Claims Manager – Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals
Your Role
You will be the single point of contact, with responsibility for your own clients. You will cover a variety of challenging activities, such as analyzing and evaluating insurance risks, negotiating with clients, tailoring insurance solutions to client needs and implementing the solutions with co-insurers and reinsurers as participants. You will be responsible for providing quality insurance services during different phases: construction and operation; contract negotiations; preparation; negotiation and settlement of claims. This position offers exposure to global insurance and reinsurance projects and requires a certain amount of international travel.
Your profile
Your technical background (mechanical or chemical engineering degree) and 5–7 years experience in exploration and production, the refining or petrochemical production as operations or maintenance engineer, combined with a strong interest in commercial and financial matters puts you in an excellent position for this multi-faceted role. Our business language is English, but the ability to speak other languages is desirable. Team spirit, analytical skills and excellent negotiation and communication skills will also count among your strengths.
